Just heard this on MSNBC (addicted! can’t! stop! watching! yaaaaaggghh!): Mike Huckabee speaking to the NRA in Louisville, making a joke about an offstage noise being Barack Obama dodging a gunman.
Here is the quote as reported by CNN:
“That was Barack Obama, he just tripped off a chair, he’s getting ready to speak,” said the former Arkansas governor, to audience laughter. “Somebody aimed a gun at him and he dove for the floor.”

What the fuck, Mike??? Please tell me that this was just a case of an improvised quip gone horribly wrong, and that you did not mean to joke about possible attempts on Obama’s life. I want to believe that you just stuck your foot in it. Can you help me out here?
