Bang A Gong With The Sound Of…

Maybe it’s because MYH and I recently watched Ang Lee’s Lust/Caution, in which there is some serious, down-home fucking, BUT.

The Sound of Music was on t.v. last night while I was packing.  Fun to watch in that delicious-horror way.  Like when Maria sings about how marriage and finding a man is the greatest adventure for a woman - oooooooooooooooh!  Spine-tingler! Yack-inducer! I’m glad Julie/Maria got to go topless in later films.

But back to the fucking.  Not that there is any in TSOM, but, BUT.  Think about it.  She was going to be a nun.  He’s a widower who’s been pining away since his wife died.  His wife, with whom he had SEVEN children, the youngest being about five.  She’s the wild uncontrollable girl from the abbey.  And they were on their honeymoon for a month.  A MONTH, yo.  I’d say there was some serious Ang Lee style fucking going on there.  And you can tell, if you just look at the Captain and Maria after they come back.  The way they look at each other, the way they move - totally the physicality of people who have been spending a leisurely month getting busy.

And that moment when Maria sings “Lo and behold you’re someone’s wife, and yoooouuu belooong to hiiiiiimmm,” and she’s all looking off into the distance - she’s thinking about the fucking, I know she is.  What else could she be thinking?  And I just bet that Georg Von Trapp was hot shit in the sack.

Think about it the next time you see this shit.  Hell - rent it and report back to me.  Best not to eat during or right before the film; there can be hazardous moments of gagging or laughing which may interfere with enjoying a meal.

  1. I LOVE The Sound of Music. I watched it last night too. Most of my grade school teachers were nuns, but none (heh, none of the nuns) of them were that pretty, believe me.

Georg was HOTT. I’d do him.

Have fun in NY! I love that city.

  2. “16 going on 17″ and “Climb Every Mountain”. Those are my mottos.

  3. haha! i love this post.
